Translation

  Ft. Lupton, Colorado Dear daughter,

these few lines are to greet you all, hoping that you all are well back in your home, thank God.

Say hello to Billy boy, and to babbe and to Pamela, and give a little kiss to the baby from me. It looks like I’m well. Today is Monday and I want to go to the Doctor.

News-wise, I will tell you that a little 9 year old boy drowned in a ditch. Be very careful with the kids. The funeral is today. I think you will remember the father, I told you about this man who lived here in the winter; he owed me $90 and was paying me $5.00 every week. Well, that is the family whose 9 year-old boy drowned.

Well, daughter, give my regards my love to Bill, from all of us. I am very thankful to him because he fixed the sink for me. Well, write when you can, so that I can know how you all are.

Regards Love to all, your mom, jesusita B. Torres
