  Ft. Lupton, Colorado Dear daughter,

this letter is to greet you all: you, Bill.

And the kids thank you very much for card that you all sent me. Do talk to them about us so they won’t forget us. It’s been several days since I received your letter. Was worried, wanting to know how you had arrived.

Thank God, daughter, that you arrived got home alright. We are well, thank God. I am making my tamales. There is going to be a bazaar on Sunday to help the church.

They asked me to make 30 dozen, so now I’m very busy making the tamales.

Well, nothing new around here, everything is the same. Max is working, Jesus and Helen too. Me and Cathy here at home.

It does feel a little lonely: First the house is a racket and now everything is so quiet. But what can we do? That’s the way things should be. First a lot of company and then, nothing. Well daughter, God will help you and us too.

Many warm regards to Bill, I am truly happy that he is better. Greetings from Jess and Helen. Jerry is picking cucumbers. Max and me, your mom, Jesusita B Torres;
