Translation

  Ft. Lupton, Colorado Dear daughter,

This letter is to greet you, as well as Bill and the kids. We are well, thank God.

Well, Max is a little sick with the flu. They say that there is a lot of illness all over. How are you? Have any of you been sick?

Well, the weather here is a little chilly. We had the first snow today.

Tell Bill that I was happy because at least he writes to me. It doesn’t matter if he writes in English, I can read in English, what I can’t do is write or speak it. Well, it may be nothing in the end, but I do understand.

Jerry is very quiet, almost doesn’t   speak to me. I don’t like that he is like this, but that’s how he is. Some times I think he is aloof proud arrogant. And Kathy no, she’s very different.

I hope your children don’t turn out like this like him. Well, I will also tell you that I’m going to send you a little present for your upcoming birthday, and that we wish you every kind of happiness now that you are going to turn 35 years old, daughter; May God grant you 3 times 35 years.

Well, I got your letter several days ago but as you know, one has a lot to do around the house. But when there’s something important let’s not dissimulate let us not overlook it. Well, I hope that Pamela is better when you get this letter, as is   our wish.

Regards Love from Jess, who is also a little sick, and from Kathy.

Well, greetings hello from Max, and Helen, Jerry, and from me, daughter. I wish you happiness, your mom, Jesusita B. Torres
